Pitchline Engineering
Precision engineering services

Pitchline Engineering was founded by the Oldridge brothers in Pinetown in 1984 and introduced CNC machining to the Natal market. In 1990 it established ManuMark as the marketing arm for its air brake repair kits. Today it is a multi-disciplined, DIN EN ISO 9001 accredited facility.
Pitchline supplies the automotive, mining, textile, medical, bottling, road marking, food and beverage, sugar, chemical and general engineering industries, working in cast iron, steel, aluminium, brass, engineering plastics, rubber and specialised steels.
CNC Turning
Fourteen CNC lathes, including two mill-turn machines, produce round components from one-off spares to long production runs at Pitchline's Pinetown factory.
CNC Milling
Five CNC milling machines produce flat faces, pockets, slots and multi-sided components that turning cannot, from prototypes to repeat batches.
Precision Grinding
Surface, cylindrical and centreless grinders hold close tolerances and smooth finishes, especially on hardened parts after heat treatment.
Rubber Moulding
Nine compression moulding presses and three extruders produce seals, diaphragms, O-rings and mountings — including the rubber in every ManuMark kit.
Gear Cutting
Two hobbing and three shaping machines cut spur and helical gears, with blanks turned and bores ground in the same factory.
Welding & Manual Lathes
A conventional workshop for one-off parts, repairs, modifications and finishing work that rounds out Pitchline's CNC departments.
