Rubber Moulding in South Africa

Rubber parts decide whether an air brake valve seals or leaks, which is why Pitchline moulds the diaphragms and seals for ManuMark's repair kits itself. The same presses produce custom rubber components for other industries.
Vacuum compression moulding reduces trapped air in the cavity, giving fewer voids and a cleaner, stronger part. Moulds are made in-house by the CNC milling, turning and grinding departments, so a new tool and the first moulded parts come from the same factory.
Typical work
- Seals, gaskets, diaphragms and O-rings
- Bushes, bobbins and anti-vibration mountings
- Pads, buffers and wear protection
- Extruded rubber profiles and cord
- Rubber components for ManuMark air brake repair kits
Rubber Moulding questions
What rubber parts does Pitchline mould?
Seals, O-rings, gaskets, diaphragms, bushes, bobbins, mountings, pads, rollers and extruded profiles — including the rubber components in ManuMark air brake repair kits.
Why use vacuum compression moulding?
It reduces trapped air in the cavity, which means fewer voids and a cleaner, stronger moulded part. Five of the presses are vacuum type.
Does Pitchline make its own rubber moulds?
Yes. The CNC milling, turning and grinding departments produce the tooling in the same factory.
Can rubber be bonded to a metal insert?
Rubber-to-metal components suit the combined machining and moulding departments. Send the drawing or sample to confirm what is possible.
Can Pitchline match an existing rubber part?
Send a sample. The profile, dimensions and duty are checked, then a compound and hardness are advised before quoting.
