Our story

The story began in the late 1980s, when Pitchline Engineering identified the need for a dedicated marketing and sales company. ManuMark (Pty) Ltd was established in January 1990, with its name drawn from “manufacturing and marketing”.

An early opportunity in the air brake repair kit market developed into a specialist business known for quality products and dependable service.

Today, ManuMark continues to serve the automotive trade with products for both current and older vehicle models. We supply qualifying repair businesses and retail outlets rather than selling directly to end users.

The Pitchline Engineering relationship

Pitchline Engineering (Pty) Ltd is a multi-disciplined, ISO-accredited manufacturing facility at 32 Henwood Road in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, producing precision components since 1984. Their core work covers CNC turning, CNC milling, grinding, rubber moulding, welding and gear cutting, supplying the textile, leisure, automotive, medical, bottling, roadmarking, food and beverage, and mining industries for over 40 years.

ManuMark exists because of that factory. In 1990 Pitchline established ManuMark as the company that markets the air brake repair kits it manufactures, and the two have traded together ever since: Pitchline builds the kits, ManuMark gets them to the trade.

Every kit is built from parts made in-house. Seals and diaphragms are moulded in Pitchline’s own rubber department in nitrile, EPDM, Viton or silicone to suit the fluid, while pistons, shafts and adaptors are turned and milled on their own CNC machines. Pitchline also holds roughly 4,000 components for ManuMark on a six-week just-in-time cycle.
